Deletion request process

Email us from your registered address to begin deletion.

Overview

MarinaVex is operated by SaiDam Techsoft Solutions Pvt. Ltd. This policy applies to MarinaVex accounts used through the web platform and mobile app.

MarinaVex accounts may be created by an organization administrator, by authorized onboarding flows, or by a login process provided for an organization. Because MarinaVex is an enterprise and marine operations platform, some records may belong to the organization that manages the account.

Deletion timeline: After a deletion request is received and verified, the account will be disabled within 7 days. Applicable account data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days of receipt of the verified deletion request.

How to request deletion

To request deletion of your MarinaVex account and associated data, send an email to welcome@marinavex.com from the email address registered with your MarinaVex account.

Email subject

MarinaVex Account Deletion Request

Include these details

  • Your full name.
  • Your registered MarinaVex email address.
  • Your company, organization, vessel owner, vessel manager or tenant name, if applicable.
  • Whether you are requesting deletion of an individual user account or an organization account.
  • An optional reason for the deletion request.

Verification

Before processing a deletion request, we may verify the requester's identity, registered email address and authority to make the request. For organization-level deletion, we may require confirmation from an authorized organization administrator or contract contact.

If we cannot verify the request, we may ask for additional information. The deletion timeline begins after the request has been verified and accepted.

Disable and deletion timeline

  • Within 7 days after verification: the account will be disabled and active access will be removed.
  • Within 30 days: applicable personal account data will be deleted or anonymized from active systems.
  • Backups: residual encrypted backup copies may remain temporarily until overwritten or expired under normal backup-retention schedules.

Deletion is not the same as temporary suspension. Once deletion is completed, the deleted account and deleted data cannot be restored from active systems.

Data that will be deleted or anonymized

For an individual user-account deletion, we will delete or anonymize applicable personal data linked to that user, including where relevant:

  • Name, email address, profile photo, profile details and account preferences.
  • Authentication records, sessions, push notification tokens and device registration records.
  • Role assignments, user permissions and organization membership data.
  • Personal notification preferences and user-specific app settings.
  • Uploaded files, profile images or attachments that are personal to the deleted account and not required as organization records.

For an approved organization-account deletion, we will delete or anonymize organization data associated with that organization, subject to the retention exceptions below.

Data that may be retained

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, contractual, security, audit, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, tax, backup or legitimate business recordkeeping purposes.

Examples may include:

  • Deletion request records and verification history.
  • Billing, invoice, payment or contract records.
  • Security logs needed to investigate fraud, abuse or unauthorized access.
  • Records that the organization is required to retain for maritime, employment, safety, compliance, audit or legal purposes.
  • Residual encrypted backup copies retained temporarily under normal backup cycles.

Where possible, retained records will be minimized, access-restricted or anonymized.

Organization and operational records

MarinaVex is used for business and vessel operations. Some records created by a user may be part of an organization's operational history, such as maintenance logs, certificates, forms, approvals, compliance records, risk assessments, procurement records, crew records, messages or audit trails.

If an individual user leaves an organization while the organization continues using MarinaVex, deletion or retention of that user's organization-managed operational data is the responsibility of that organization. Such records may remain under the organization's control according to its legal, compliance, safety, audit, employment or operational obligations. MarinaVex will act on organization-approved deletion or anonymization instructions, or on valid legal requirements.

After deletion

  • You will no longer be able to sign in with the deleted account.
  • Push notifications for the deleted account will stop after device registration records are removed.
  • If your organization creates a new account for you later, it will be treated as a new account.
  • Deletion does not automatically cancel any separate commercial agreement, subscription, invoice or service contract unless separately confirmed in writing.
